We were approached by the BBC to produce titles for their coverage of the Women’s Euro’s.
The brief came with some caveats – we needed to introduce the England players to the world, and we needed to shoot everyone in the squad (so that we could keep the sequence updated in the event players dropped out) AND we’d have 3 hours in which to do it!
Our timing and planning was meticulous and the team managed to shoot 22 players in various scenarios.
The brief was always to incorporate actual game footage. It was decided to go large on the graphical treatment. Applying a scoreboard-esque dot matrix effect to visualize the players ‘minds-eye’.
What we did: creative treatments, script writing, storyboarding, casting, production design, shoot, equipment hire and transport, editing, sound design and mixing, picture grade and final online.
